Job Description

Vistra seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Research Analyst to join our survey research team. As a Senior Research Analyst, you will play an important role leading and implementing online and web-based surveys, as well as supporting the development of a research panel. Your expertise in research, working with web-based platforms and panels, and your desire to expand your research capabilities will help our team and customers gain deeper insights into the patient experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including survey designers, project managers, and researchers, to ensure data quality, accuracy, and relevance.


ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Occasional travel maybe required
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for special reports, dynamic presentations, slide shows, and other data services
  • Activities will range from actual data analysis and coding open ended answers to the analytic process of communicating the value of your contribution to our clients
  • Provide day-to-day support to survey participants with log-in issues, content-related questions, reminders, extensions, or similar operational concerns
  • Conceptualize and write compelling content for our consulting work, including qualitative and quantitative reports, and proposals
  • Present draft reports to stakeholders when needed, walking them through the process of explaining each section of the report
  • Work with large databases and data cleaning procedures; and mass email platforms and processes,
  • Facilitate efforts with clients to develop, execute, maintain, and enhance data operations that provide compelling information for transformative reports
  • Participate in end-to-end client projects involving analytics, seeing them through proposal to deployment, roll out, and follow-up
  • Distribute surveys through email, monitor email correspondence for key words and phrases, and download and print emails
  • Analyze survey data, external research, financial information and qualitative interviews to gain insights and subject matter proficiency for writing assignments
  • Cooperate with Director of Information Technology to ensure that on-line survey instruments, reporting tools, and management tools exhibit a high degree of functionality and usability
  • Update and maintain office manuals that document policies and procedures for data collections, data management, and data reporting
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to comply with Vistra and federal policies regarding the protection of human subjects and personally identifiable information (PII)
  • Help design, test, launch, and manage surveys on a cloud-based survey system
  • Develop and maintain quality control checks and project management schedules to ensure that surveys are launched in a sound and timely manner
  • Facilitate efforts with Vistra and our stakeholders to develop, execute, maintain, and enhance data services that compel transformative change
  • Monitor whitemail/email correspondence screening and routing
  • Process, edit, and track survey responses or data collection submissions
  • Ensure incoming and outgoing communications support the survey research team in a timely manner,



Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data management and analysis.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges and improve survey research processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex survey data, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and effectively communicate the results to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in survey data collection, cleaning, and validation.
  • Bachelor's bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, public health, statistics, social sciences, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in managing research projects, including planning, timelines, resource allocation, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods and techniques, such as interviews or focus groups, may be advantageous.
  • Ability to present survey findings through clear and visually appealing data visualizations, charts, and reports.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of survey research methodologies, sampling techniques, survey instrument development, and data collection best practices.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and data privacy regulations.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, policies, and regulations, as well as an understanding of healthcare quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care principles.
  • Knowledge of survey software and tools commonly used in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data analysis tools, such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python, to manipulate and analyze survey data.
  • 3-5 years experience in planning, executing, and distributing quantitative reports and analyses, ideally within a healthcare or healthcare research setting. This includes experience with patient experience surveys, satisfaction surveys, or other healthcare-specific surveys.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, including researchers, clinicians, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey research findings, recommendations, and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
