About The Role
The FP&A Sr. Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day management of GAP’s IT project spend. This person will partner with IT leadership, project leaders, Finance, and various business functions to support multiple IT projects. Duties include reporting, forecasting/budgeting, analytics, close activities, and establishing and maintaining business partner relationships. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to roll up their sleeves and get the job done no matter the situation.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the assigned Tech Area, and respective Finance stakeholders
- Support the monthly close process, including accruals, invoices, and re-classes
- Communicate timely, accurate, and relevant overviews to senior management for decision-making during processes.
- Enable fact-based decisions by creating transparency through the Budget and Forecast process
- Manage and execute standardized reporting and ad hoc analysis
- Manage medium-sized projects and/or actively participate in projects, implement results, and ensure the sustainability of achievements
- Develop and implement adequate and aligned communication packages to present results, recommendations, and solutions
- Become a trusted advisor, and be the go-to person for Finance related questions, including ad-hoc analytics, capital/expense decisions, accrual rules and GAAP regulations, and special projects as needed.
- Communicate timelines and deliverables to Finance and Business Partners
- Identify improvement potential through variance analysis, derive solutions, and facilitate related decisions
- Constantly optimize day-to-day processes and systems
- Support the execution of Business Partner and Finance Strategy
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt work style/processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Able to transform quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations and communicate them in a compelling way.
- Strong technical aptitude, including ability and desire to learn company systems and tools. Strong Excel is a must, Oracle, Clarity and/or Power BI experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships on a cross-functional team and influence others through financial analysis with proven ability to interact with various levels of management.
- Minimum 5 years of financial and business analysis. Forecast and budgeting experience a plus.

Salary Range: $69,900 - $100,300 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
