Job Profile Summary
CAI is hiring! We are in immediate need of a Market Research Analyst. This is a 100% US-based remote opportunity. Candidates must be willing to work EST.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.
CAI’s Market Research Analyst will provide a broad range of research and support services to the Marketing and Sales Teams. The Market Research Analyst will assist CAI business leaders in building industry insight and competitive intelligence assets that support sales, marketing, and leadership. Using various tools and research skills, this individual will collate information and present results on a regular basis in a defined format.
We are seeking a Junior Marketer with Marketing Research experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of processes that do not formally exist today
- Provides the sales team with industry analysis and background information on targeted clients
- Comfortable contributing to writing projects as assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Lead in building competitive intelligence assets that support sales, marketing, and leadership.
- Able to review state/local budget and identify objectives and trends
- Research and support across all departments, including the content team with data and insights to ensure thought leadership articles and white papers are backed with credible sources.
- Compiles data related to competitors’ products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology, as well as identify key personnel for collaboration purposes
- Present annual reports to marketing directors ensuring the audience can understand findings and marketing campaigns can be better personalized.
- Gathering roadmaps from marketing and business development senior leadership to develop a research plan every year and quarter.
- Providing tailored secondary research based on service offerings, client accounts, prospective clients, and the competitive landscape.
- Mine competitor, industry, and technology data, trends, and themes. Translate findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Market Research objectives will include, but not be limited to: Account-Based Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Industry Trends/Insights, and Content
- Comfortable using federal/state/local tools to gather information (GovWin, local state gov procurement sites, etc.)
- Consolidate data and research information into actionable items, reports and presentations including SWOT analysis
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- 1 year of professional/intern experience
- Previous experience that includes Marketing Research objectives
- Degree in Marketing or related discipline
Desired Experience
- Some Content Writing experience preferred
- Some experience with or knowledge of Power BI, WordPress, and/or GovWin preferred
Skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Deadline driven mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- High-level problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within in teams and independently
- Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
- Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with CRM programs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
