Sr Project Coordinator Jobs

The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) team is responsible for supporting clients across The Walt Disney Company including Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP), Disney Entertainment (e.g., ABC, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Theatrical, etc.), ESPN (ESPN Networks, ESPN+), and Corporate Finance. DDSI leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical and econometric modeling to build innovative tools that shape business decisions and drive business value.

Key partners to the organization include Marketing, Finance, Sales & Analytics, Business Development, Research, and Operations. Roles within the organization develop, analyze, and execute strategies to maximize profitability and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders.

Responsibilities:

The Business Portfolio Optimization team within DDSI is looking to fill a Sr Project Coordinator role as described below.

• Participate in the design of PMO standards development including infrastructure, tools, processes and governance for project and financial management
• Manage smaller scale projects with less complicated undertakings that have manageable risks and resource requirements
• Facilitates project meetings to ensure the objectives of the meeting are met. Presents work in the form of presentations that tell a clear and compelling story about the status of the project.
• Provide support for annual capital planning and forecasts. Monitor and distribute project financials to ensure accuracy of budget tracking. Provide operational support for monthly forecasts and other financial-related requests/issues from Tech and Finance partners. Proactively communicate with the project team with regard to project changes, issues affecting the execution of deliverables, and the expectations for completing each task. Provide central coordination and communication for the team through the duration of assigned projects.
• Demonstrate leadership capabilities to matrixed project teams through influence for the projects assigned
• Provide coordination for the project management function for department initiatives and projects to include the planning and management of scope, timelines/plans, risks and quality management across all five areas phases of the project: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control and project closeout.
• Act as a project management advocate developing standards, processes and tools to enhance the project management and financial operations within the department. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and other information beneficial to the project management function and leverage that knowledge to improve projects. Provide support as needed for PMO-related financial/operational activities.
• Identify efficiency opportunities within a given project and potentially challenging existing processes in order to continuously seek improved project initiation, planning, execution and implementation.

• Capable of working with an analytical team to support the development of project management deliverables

Required Education & Experience

• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with a diverse set of partners
• Proficient with project management tools, including: Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Project, Teams, Confluence
• 2-3 Years of experience
• Demonstrated keen attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated project coordination experience or leadership on a project
• Basic understanding of project management methodologies and tools
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required
