Sr. Payroll Analyst - Work Anywhere In The U.s.

We are seeking a Sr. Payroll Analyst to bring a quality focused approach to the Businessolver’s execution of the payroll function. The best candidate will be able to provide leadership and vision to the role and will be responsible for all payroll functions. The Gig:

Responsible for preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for a 1,300+ (and growing!) employee base including:

• Ensuring valid data transfers to/from payroll service
• Preparation/distribution of detailed reports (e.g., overtime, leave balances, headcount, incentives, and retirement contribution reports)
• Validating programs for employee changes and adherence to FLSA
• Maintaining and ensuring compliance with payroll related tax filings and prepare registrations as needed
• Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of approved timesheets
• Tracking and deducting all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
• Employee set-up & ensuring that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis
• Preparation of Accounting General Ledger activity for Accounting Team (Payroll JE’s and related Month-end Accruals)
• Reviewing changes for proper authorization and adherence to APA policy, including compliance with federal/state/local regulations
• Monitoring submissions of approved timesheets
• Timely responses to employee payroll inquiries, including researching as needed
• Coordinating efforts between accounting & finance, engagement, and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data

What you need to make the cut:

• 6+ years’ payroll experience (performing all payroll functions)
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, paying close attention to meet all deadlines
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload without sacrificing quality
• Strong understanding of payroll tax and multi-state regulations including building and monitoring controls to ensure mitigation of risk
• Effective and efficient communication with employees in a way that is clear, concise, and engaging
• A careful, detail-oriented person who has strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Experience with Microsoft Excel analyzing data (creating formulas: V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.) is required
• Accounting or Business Administration/Finance degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is ideal
• Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and with high level of quality and accuracy
• Expertise utilizing the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system

The pay range for this position is 67K to 85K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
