GENERAL FUNCTION
The Senior Director of Communications is a key leader within the LensCrafters organization that will own the creation and execution of the internal communications strategy, while leading the Communications Function. Working closely with the brand President, Executive Leadership team and cross-functional partners, you and your team will coordinate major brand moments, special projects, and internal campaigns, as well as lead proactive storytelling efforts. This role guides communications for the brand’s vision and internal strategy, along with run-the-business communications for a 1000+ store network. You will guide your team on leveraging and partnering with the HR team to lead engagement efforts within the brand corporate team and our field and stores organization. Your team will plan, lead and execute all internal events for LensCrafters, including annual field leader meetings, associate Town Halls and large-scale store manager gatherings.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work daily with brand executive and department heads to align on communications priorities, aligned with business needs.
  • Define and drive a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports the company's overall brand and business objectives.
  • Establish and enforce process for strong internal communications planning and creation, including communications workflow and output
  • Coach, support and develop members of the communications team
  • Oversee the development of all brand communications content and assets
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all internal communications platforms and channels
  • Serve as both a strategic leader and communications expert
  • Create and maintain a feedback process to gather insights from field and store-level audience to improve the communication function’s work
  • Lead presentation and general content creation for brand President and key leadership stakeholders
  • Advise on change management needs

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Portfolio of writing samples required
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong project management.
  • Organizational & mental agility
  • Experience with speech writing for executives
  • Prior experience mentoring and leading other associates
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven track record of building and advancing strategic communications plans
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Relating skills/people skills
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in internal communications, with significant experience in retail or corporate environments
  • Action and goal oriented

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Change Management certified

Pay Range: $171,522.45 - $255785.72

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
