Notion is an in person company, and currently requires its employees to come to the office for two Anchor Days (Mondays & Thursdays) and requests that employees spend the majority of their week in the office (including a third day).

About The Role

While we're still a small company, we’re building a culture where everyone who works at Notion feels engaged, informed, and inspired. We want all our employees to be supported in their work and lives, and anchored in both the impact they have on the company and that Notion has on the world. We're looking for an experienced communicator who loves to listen and build community, who can pioneer systems and programming that scale to reach more people with a personalized touch, and who specializes in telling stories through multiple media that engage, inspire, and inform.

What You'll Achieve:

• Collaborate with, well, almost everyone!: Whether it’s our founders, affinity groups, project leaders, Environment team, or new hires, you’ll partner with a wide range of Notinos and work across the organization as it scales. We’re still a small company, so you’ll have the chance to learn a lot about every corner of Notion.
• Partner with leadership: Support company leadership in managing through sensitive internal comms issues, change management, and elevating employee feedback.
• Engage: Take part in conversations across the org about the company, culture, and what's going on in the world around us. Help us respond thoughtfully internally in a way that aligns with our values and the change we want to see in the world. Work with managers to build strong cross-functional connections and reinforce key values.
• Strategize: Own our strategy for internal communications with a focus on keeping our whole team in the know and aligned around our objectives and culture. You’ll own and iterate on best practices for using Slack and Notion.
• Storytell: Whether it’s organizing our monthly company all-hands meeting or elevating employee stories, you’ll guide and shape important narratives that ensure everyone at Notion is aligned on what matters most.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• Past partnership with executive teams and leaders.
• Strong experience using Slack for internal communications (it’s our main communication tool), and preferred experience or familiarity with Notion (but don’t worry, we’ll help you there!).
• Experience with fast-paced change management, ideally at a high-growth company.
• Superb organizational skills, with experiencing triaging many requests and priorities.
• Strong execution mindset - we're moving fast and there is a lot to do every day. You don't mind getting scrappy!
• 5+ years of experience managing internal communications, corporate communications or similar experience
• A track record of work that required interpersonal sensitivity and empathy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; clear and warm communication style.

Nice To Haves:

• Creative production skills to help us reach our audiences through not just writing, but visual, video and audio communication.

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco, the estimated base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $205,000 per year.
