DIRECTV is seeking a Senior Director for Product Development who will lead a team of Product Marketing Development Managers to prioritize, execute, and deliver on scalable sales and service capabilities for the business. This strategic leader will build and maintain relationships with all cross-functional partners including a close partnership with the IT and Engineering departments to deliver with quality. This role requires flexibility with an ever-changing marketplace to ensure the team is working on the right work items within the budget. We need someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and solve problems with the team!
Here's what you’ll do:

• Prepare weekly program status reports and communicate with executive leadership.
• Innovatively identify and resolve business problems by working from the ground up.
• Works closely with Product leads to understand and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps that are aligned with overall strategies and initiatives.
• Role model transparency and accountability as a leader. Communicate effectively, build trust and strong relationships across the company.
• Manage cadence of product metrics review, actions and follow up, short / long term projects to address issues and process improvements.
• Identify and support systemic improvements to program execution through new tools, processes, policies, procedures, standardization of project lifecycle, and best practices capturing / sharing to support the organization's strategic goals.
• Drive formal agile and release management best practices, as well as initiatives to track and improve upon various quality initiatives within Product Development.
• Ability to work with a multi-faceted, cross-functional team including Product Development, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales.
• Leverage your experience, knowledge of industry trends, and personal creativity to develop new and innovative solutions which delight our customers. Given the rapid pace of change in technology and software development today, always be pushing the boundary of what's possible and be on the offense always.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly presentation experience to executive levels of management.
• Proven experience in managing a portfolio of programs in product development teams.
• Strong interpersonal, team, and client relationship building skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross functional teams to deliver comprehensive offerings or programs to market.
• Thorough understanding of project / program management, continuous improvement principles, techniques, and methods.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, work independently and within ambiguity, produce deliverables, establish realistic goals and deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
• 10+ years program/product management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or related field of study preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in playing a CATALYST role in change management.
• Experience in interacting with executive leadership for planning, budgeting, and strategic discussions.
• Collaborative, but confident leader who can ensure support from a diverse set of internal contributors.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Mid (N2): $163,000 - $244,400
High (N3): $179,300 - $268,840
Top (N4): $187,450 - $281,060
