Major/Essential Functions

• Interprets x-rays in all modalities of diagnostic radiology
• Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects as requested or
• Provides clinical services and teaching of diagnostic radiology and body imaging, and thoracic imaging

assigned by department chair

• Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as
• Lectures, holds conferences, and participates in related meetings and school functions
• Initiates or participates in scholarly activities of the Department of Radiology

committee work and other administrative duties

• Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the

institutional mission

• Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

of Faculty Professional Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with HIPPA and billing regulations

Required Qualifications

• Texas Medical License, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
• Successful completion of a ACGME- accredited residency program in diagnostic radiology
• M.D. or D.0. degree
• Successful completion of one year of training in body imaging or thoracic imaging fellowship program
• Training and experience in all imaging modalities including plain films, CT, ultrasound and MRI

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology
• Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
