Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer

About the Role

As a Cloud Operations Engineer at Avaya Carrier Services, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the reliability and performance of our cloud-native services, connecting Avaya's cutting-edge cloud offerings with global telecom carriers. You'll collaborate closely with software developers, quality assurance engineers, and incident management teams to ensure seamless operation and optimization of our SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on designing and implementing automated solutions for deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance, security, and reliability of our cloud services.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications, ensuring high availability and efficient scaling.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure, addressing issues promptly to maintain optimal performance.
• Champion a continuous improvement mindset, driving validated learning to refine and optimize our services.
• Actively contribute to incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution in production environments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and excellence in cloud operations.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-native services.
• Experience with telecommunication protocols such as SIP a plus.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).
• Problem-solving skills to address incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Adaptable and resourceful mindset in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape.
• Desirable: hold a GCP Cloud Architect Professional Certification or a GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional Certification
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts.
• Strong understanding of system reliability, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward continuous learning.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. A master's degree is a plus.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and associated tools.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $254,150 + bonus + benefits.
