Job Description
Position Summary


The SVP of Sales will be responsible for all sales aspects of a Division or larger and more complex brands including but not limited to management of all sales staff, creating, and implementing the sales and expense budget, forecasting, development of sales promotions, programs, and marketing plans. This position works closely with the EVP of Operations to set and achieve goals to meet customer expectations. This role also works closely with all other department leaders to address the needs of customers.


Core Functions


  • Travel regularly to Trade Shows and other events.
  • Lead the development and execution of the annual budget, forecasts, business plan and sales strategy for a Division or multiple brands that ensures attainment of corporate sales goals and profitability.
  • Develop new product launch programs.
  • Develop and set customer programs, policies, pricing, promotional activities and portfolio management.
  • Maintain monthly expense budget goals, managing and approving all sales related expenses.
  • Manage all aspects of sales team from leadership, new customer development, training on policies, products, programs, and travel.
  • Implement sales and marketing programs.
  • Attend to customer expectations to maintain satisfaction.


Qualifications & Requirements


Education and Experience


  • 10+ years of outside sales experience and senior management preferred in automotive segment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field preferred.


Required Licenses


  • Valid state-issued driver’s license.


Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to overcome customer objections and concerns.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret graphs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM Software, ERP Software, Sales Force, Concur or other expenses systems Development of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ability to respond to complaints.
  • Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
  • Ability to effectively present information and presentations to customers and top management.
  • Ability to read and understand business financial documents.


Travel


  • 30 to 50% travel required on average (weekends included).


Supervisor Responsibilities


  • This position plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees within the Division or multiple Brands . This position has direct and indirect reports.


Physical Requirements


  • This position is subject to exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
