Job Description
Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.


About This Role


For over a decade, Compass Health Center has provided outcomes-driven and patient-centered intensive behavioral healthcare to patients across our three Chicagoland brick-and-mortar facilities. As part of our mission to increase access to these critical services, we are seeking a Senior Vice President, New Site Expansion to join our team. The SVP, New Site Expansion will serve as the business line leader and operator for all new Compass brick-and-mortar clinics outside of Illinois.


In addition to leading the planning and launching of multiple new Compass facilities each year, this leader will drive growth and business performance of the facilities post-launch, while continuously optimizing quality of care and patient experience.


What You’ll Do  


  • Partner with Compass C-Suite Leaders to develop expansion strategy into new geographies in response to market trends and opportunities to capture new areas of growth 
  • Oversight over pre-launch workforce planning and post-launch capacity planning and management, including medium- and short- term plans for hiring; forecasting growth for the future based on seasonality and marketing trends through annual strategic planning process in close partnership with senior clinical leaders 
  • Overall P&L responsibility for new brick and mortar Compass clinics across the country, including but not limited to planning and launch of each new clinic, new patient acquisition, capacity planning and management, operational and process continuous improvement, and overall short-and long-term strategic planning for brick-and-mortar expansion
  • Collaborate with payor relations and revenue cycle teams to ensure reimbursement is optimized including working to trouble-shoot any payer-specific issues that arise; evaluate new opportunities for payor contracting and leveraging payer relationships to drive patient volume  
  • Leadership over new patient acquisition and national expansion-specific clinical, marketing, and business development in collaboration with Compass’ marketing and outreach teams


Who You Are  


  • Are strongly motivated by goal of helping patients (and their loved ones) overcome and recover from behavioral health crises 
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience with at least 5+ years of leadership experience within a high-growth behavioral healthcare environment
  • Strong executive presence and leadership capabilities; able to inspire large teams and create a culture of excellence, growth, and positivity 
  • P&L management experience, or equivalent experience 
  • Experience launching and managing brick-and-mortar PHP/IOP facilities at a national scale
  • Experience managing organizations of at least 50 clinicians and operators
  • Have a bachelor's degree; MBA, MHA, clinical degree, or other relevant advanced degree preferred; Previous clinical experience in behavioral health preferred
