Job Description

A dynamic Midwest technology-based risk management firm is seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Development to lead their marketing and sales team to the next level. The firm is focused in the agriculture industry both in the livestock and grain sectors. They work with producer and commercial clients to provide education and customized price risk management services that are affected by volatility in the agriculture commodities markets.


This position will manage and coach the sales team to drive business growth across all customer segments. You will be working closely with senior management to execute strategic plans and develop new plans. The company is looking for someone with inspirational leadership style and ability to adjust to different managers sales styles, experience levels, and various business segments.


The successful candidate will have a proven track record growing revenue through new-product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships. You must also have the ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively. Understanding of the agriculture industry and commodity market will be a plus.


The company is based in the Chicago area and you will be in the office on a regular basis. A hybrid of office and remote is a possibility. There will also be regular business travel which will be higher in the beginning to become familiar with your team and customer base.


The salary will be very competitive and a lucrative bonus will make up the compensation package. The company also provides excellent benefits.
