We have an immediate position available for a Sr. Social Strategist on our Social Media Team. This person is a core strategic thinker and comfortable being the day-to-day social lead for the account (with support from the Associate Director & Jr. Strategists). They ensure all social channel and communications plans ladder back to the brand's business objectives and audience needs.
About The Role:
The Sr. Social Strategist is a channel and content consumption expert—Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, you name it. They are responsible for developing briefs and social strategies and presenting them skillfully to internal teams or clients. This person will work closely with our in-house creative, media and analytics groups to provide actionable insights, analysis, points of view, and rationale. They also will be looked to for thought leadership and will work with the Associate and Director-level folks on the team to stay on the cutting edge of trends.
- Mentor and potentially manage social managers and associate social managers
- Contributes to new business pitches by providing insight and on-the-ground recommendations as a channel expert
- Develop and present creative briefs that inspire thumb-stopping content that meets objectives effectively
- Identifies opportunities for partnerships with brands and personalities or real-time engagement opportunities
- Manages calendars and content plans, ensuring assets and messages support objectives and requirements for key promotional windows
- Create messaging frameworks that reflect respective paid and owned campaigns
- Familiarity with other marketing channels such as content marketing, paid social media, CRM, loyalty, and website, etc. to be dangerous
- Supports measurement and insights team with social audience and creative performance analysis; provides insight from social listening platforms
- Maintains a pulse on trends and emerging platforms to develop POVs for clients
About You:
- Skilled collaborator and comfortable with working in a fully remote environment
- Comfortable taking initiative and leading a group (e.g. briefs, brainstorms, presenting to internal teams)
- Well-versed and experienced in working across digital as well as the social ecosystem
- Experience in B2C (QSR, Retail, Ecomm) required, B2B is a nice to have
- Strong writing, presentation and analytical thinking skills
- Knowledge of paid social capabilities and best practices vs. organic social capabilities and best practices
- Experience pulling channel metrics and deriving actionable insights to inform future content
- 4-6 years of professional experience in social media (channel, messaging, and influencer strategy, as well as creative tactics) in an agency environment
- Comfortable presenting to and collaborating with clients
- Comfortable with Google Suite products (slides, docs, etc.) as well as Microsoft Outlook and Teams
- Experience leading campaigns across all social channels including community management
- Curious, open-minded and a team player. Leaves the ego at the door and enjoys fast-paced environments.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively about messaging and channels.
