Social/Stakeholder Engagement Specialist I

Overview

We are searching for a mid-level Social / Stakeholder Engagement Specialist I to support our growth in delivering social, stakeholder and sustainability services. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, entrepreneurial and be able to demonstrate skills as a seasoned social/sustainability consultant working for large private sector and/or other organizations. Candidates with experience conducting stakeholder engagement, community field studies, community interviews and client workshops and trainings in national and international contexts are highly encouraged to apply.

Role

The Social / Stakeholder Engagement Specialist I will take-on leading roles in executing projectdeliverables and in managing projects, under the Owners guidance. The selected candidate will work alongside with the Owner and other consultants in delivering client solutions including trainings, workshops, stakeholder engagement strategies, action plans and tools, social/health studies, management systems, surveys, conducting research and writing publications.

Job Responsibilities

·Develop high-quality solutions and deliverables in the areas of stakeholder engagement, a broad range of issues within social performance, community health and sustainability projects.

·Work as a team, and independently, assisting in the delivery of trainings and workshops to support with building stakeholder, social and sustainability capacity of client teams.

·Manage projects effectively and efficiently, communicating clearly internally and with clients (tracking hours and progress towards completion of deliverables).

·Support business development efforts in general and in new sectors and evolving fields.

·Research best practices and innovations in sustainability processes and develop templates, marketing material and processes for E&E.

·Work within team of problem solvers. Help solve complex issues from strategy to implementation.

·Communicate with empathy and adapt communication to meet the needs of the situation and audience. Embrace different points of view and welcome opposing ideas.

·Handle, manage and analyze data and information responsibly.

·Always maintain a professional demeanor.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

·Master’s Degree graduate.

·4-5+ years of demonstrated social / stakeholder engagement consulting experience working for large-scale private companies, development banks or other organizations – evidence of delivering excellent products and results for clients.

·Field experience working with communities in international contexts, ideally on stakeholder engagement, social/health projects, conservation, climate change or other related projects.

·Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables for clients.

·Ability to support business development efforts (proposal writing).

·Experience working internationally.

·Ability to travel ~ 25%.

·Fluency in Spanish ideal though not required (writing, speaking, reading, presenting).

Compensation

Renumeration will be based on the role, skills and experience of each candidate and will vary based on the candidate’s geographic location.
