Reporting to the Director - Talent Acquisition, the Senior Manager – University Recruiting will lead early career initiatives across the enterprise and manage a team of talent specialists focused on building university pipelines. In this role, you’ll build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to drive support for early career development while adapting strategically to business needs. You will oversee the Intern Program team with a focus on candidate experience and conversion into full-time careers. You’ll manage the Campus Engagement team as they focus on long-term strategic partnerships with targeted higher education institutions. You’ll effectively prioritize diversity initiatives while growing program capability and driving high-impact, early career talent into Blue Origin internships, new graduate, and rotational programs.

You look ahead and anticipate talent needs through partnerships with HR and business leaders and build influential relationships with both. You are an advocate for candidates and understand how to deliver individualized experiences at scale. Responsibilities:
  • Support the evolution of the larger talent acquisition team towards a function that is consistently viewed as a strategic, consultative, and proactive partner
  • As a people leader, enable your team to deliver against aggressive hiring goals in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Ensure hiring partners receive world-class talent acquisition consultation and support
  • Continuously assess process to identify areas for improvement and partner with peers and stakeholders to design and implement solutions
  • Provide regular updates to talent acquisition and business leaders on progress against hiring targets and other key talent acquisition initiatives
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to develop and execute early career hiring plans that identify and drive productivity improvements
  • Partner with talent acquisition and business leaders to strategize and execute our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion priorities and drive recruiting-related initiatives to support diversity hiring efforts
  • Oversee and continue to develop the University Recruiting team and the Blue Origin Internship programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify scalable solutions and set objectives
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Demonstrated experience making data-informed recommendations to leaders
  • Experience managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree, or additional years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency with recruiting systems and platforms, and demonstrated experience achieving full optimization
  • Understanding of the higher education system, including faculty research groups and student teams, and experience building relationships with academic institutions
  • 8+ years of talent acquisition experience including university recruiting, high volume, and technical roles

Desired:
  • Experience working in a technology, engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace/space industry
  • Workday and Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and obstacles
  • Prior start-up or high-growth environment experience
  • Demonstrated track record of building and supporting a successful team of recruiters
  • Self-starter comfortable leading through ambiguity to define clear roadmaps and processes

The compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $154,875-$227,150

Benefits
Employee Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave (must be employed at time of birth or adoption), short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program available after 1 year of service.
Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.
Discretionary bonus: Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
