THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Law Firm Manager of Partner Recruiting, you will play a critical role in the growth and success of our firm by identifying and attracting top-tier legal talent to join our partnership. You will work closely with the firm's leadership and practice group heads to develop and execute effective partner recruiting strategies. Your responsibilities will include sourcing candidates, managing the recruitment process, evaluating potential partners, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration of new partners into the firm.

Reporting to the Director of Attorney Recruiting, the Manager of Partner Recruiting will oversee and serve as a project manager for the sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding of lateral partners, lateral attorney groups, and certain non-partner attorneys. The Manager will work closely with the Director of Attorney Recruiting, Regional Managing Partners, Practice Group Chairs, and the Management Committee regarding the Firm’s partner recruiting efforts. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage firm-wide recruiting efforts for lateral partner hiring, working closely with the Regional Managing Partners to source, recruit, and hire candidates based on firm objectives.
  • Develop, coordinate, and track processes to optimize recruiting pipeline of prospective partner candidates, including candidate identification and research, preparing candidate profiles, and coordinating actions with internal and external resources.
  • Drive efforts to support the firm’s diversity recruiting and retention initiatives in partnership with firm management, committees, and the Chief Diversity Officer.
  • Ensure the performance and maintenance of technology services and software to drive efficiency, including candidate sourcing, applicant tracking, and interview evaluations.
  • Lead due diligence, onboarding, and integration efforts for lateral partners, working closely with Conflicts, Finance, HR, IT, and other firmwide departments.
  • Partner with other Attorney Recruiting staff for administrative and professional support as needed, fostering a collaborative and client-service focused environment
  • Participate in, and support efforts to, recruit non-partner candidates and other ad hoc projects as requested.
  • Manage communications with candidates, shepherding them through the firm’s Lateral Partner Questionnaire (LPQ), interview, Letter of Understanding (LOU), and conflicts processes through to hire and onboarding.
  • Work with the Director of Attorney Recruiting to develop and manage the creation and implementation of lateral partner recruiting strategies and campaigns; determine and engage in best practices, assess competitive landscape and climate of each location, and design and deliver programs and solutions to facilitate the firm’s strategic growth plan.
  • Using legal recruiting databases, compile, analyze and update various demographic and statistical information as needed for regional managing partners, practice group leaders and Firm management. Collect, track, and maintain various recruiting data and metrics to prepare relevant reports and analyses. Present data and trend analysis to key stakeholders and use data to make and support strategic proposals and objectives.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with partners, search firms, industry associations, NALP, and other sources with candidates or groups to facilitate the firm’s strategic growth plan.
  • Prepare data analyses, reports on industry activity, metrics, market mapping, and targeted research in accordance with recruiting strategies.
  • Work with the Director of Attorney Recruiting and Management Committee to execute merger, practice group, and other strategic growth strategies in collaboration with Regional Managing Partners and practice group leaders
  • Serve as department liaison on LinkedIn, viRecruit, and other software issues.

PARTNER RECRUITING TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Provide direction and guidance to team members to ensure high-quality service is delivered to all stakeholders.
  • Identify ways to develop team members through group and individual development plans, regular feedback, and coaching.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of recruiting technology such as viRecruit, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Leopard List.
  • Bachelor's degree; JD degree beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • At least 5 years of law firm recruiting experience with previous experience recruiting partners at a search firm, a mid-sized or large law firm, or at another professional services firm strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Visio a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $110-150k. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
