This role can be based in our San Francisco office or our global headquarters in Mountain View, CA.
At LinkedIn, we trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams. This role offers a hybrid work option, meaning you can both work from home and commute to a LinkedIn office, depending on what’s best for you and when it is important for your team to be together.
We’re looking for a globally-minded strategic leader to develop world class employee communications here at LinkedIn. Your main goal will be to help thread the needle across our Corporate Functions to develop company-wide employee communications that drive a sense of purpose and connection. This person will be responsible for helping employees understand the bigger “why” and “how” behind company priorities and decisions. This leader will guide a high-impact team that will ensure our employees know how their work drives our ability to achieve our vision to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.
The ideal candidate brings public company knowledge and expertise in crafting compelling employee communications to global audiences at scale, no matter the topic. The ideal candidate will be a business partner, and a communicator, who is looking to lead and inspire a team of employee communication professionals. You’ll have strong commercial acumen and tenacity to develop, drive, and deliver high-impact communications.
You’ll be energized by working with senior leaders around the world and will thrive in a fast-moving, innovative organization. You’ll also be passionate about using your communications skills to amplify our culture, enable leaders as communicators and drive business results. You’ll also have the ability to be creative and a strategic thinker who can convert vision into plans that can be executed.
Responsibilities:
  • Help shape company narrative(s) and stories that reinforce our culture and values and highlight the ways in which we do this across LinkedIn.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including External Communications, HR, Talent Acquisition, Chief of Staff, Legal, etc. across the company.
  • Be a strategic partner to the Heads of our Corporate functions at LinkedIn, advising on the right forum, timing, and content of company-wide communications to ensure all of our employees are informed, inspired and empowered to help LinkedIn succeed.
  • Work closely with your peers in our employee communications leadership team and our Global Employee Communications teams to align on overall communications strategy using existing channels in a complementary fashion.
  • Creatively use different communication formats such as live events, videos, community channels, emails to inform and inspire employees.
  • Oversee the company-wide strategic calendar, setting out which employees we are engaging with, when and how and by whom, so there is effective air traffic control and we’re making sure our employees are getting the right context at the right time.
