Sr Manager, Employee Communications & Engagement

The Senior Manager, Content Strategy & Creation provides leadership for The Walt Disney Company’s Employee Communications team, which is responsible for ideating, creating, and distributing content that elevates the Disney employee experience. The selected candidate will work with communications leaders throughout the Company to help lead and execute content strategies that supports priorities impacting employees across the enterprise. This individual must be highly organized and able to implement systemic processes to ensure consistent and timely communication with all partners. Working closely with various teams from around the world also requires strong relationship and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Explore the latest trends in communications, and use a combination of new and existing methods to reach the right audience at the right time with the right message
• Lead cross-functional projects, ensuring communication needs are clear, work is progressing, and partners are aligned
• Develop an annual plan that aligns with key priorities and drives best-in-class content campaigns to bring the Disney employee experience to life in creative ways
• Lead a content creation team responsible for proactively identifying story ideas and areas of differentiation to engage employees in ways only Disney can
• Partner with segment communications leaders from across Disney’s businesses to ensure relatability across segments
• Apply a public affairs mindset to content plans by proactively identifying and sharing risks
• Develop, produce and edit fun and engaging multimedia content that tells a story and is shared across internal and external channels
• Oversee creative look and feel of various enterprise-wide communications vehicles

Required Qualifications

• Exhibit courage to respectfully question the status quo and propose better ways to communicate or complete a task
• Demonstrated ability to develop and share new and creative ideas, and connect those ideas to key priorities
• Demonstration teamwork and collaboration to drive projects through to completion
• Adept at creating content from multiple sources and developing plans that include internal and external channel
• 8+ years producing compelling content that meet client or company needs, including the ability to capture and edit content shot on a mobile device
• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field
• Passionate about sharing the unique culture of Disney, and fully engaged to represent employees
• Innate sense of urgency with proven ability to work quickly, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and communicate updates effectively while under pressure

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $131,680.00 to $181,060.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
