Summary
Role Summary/Purpose
The Senior Counsel, Global Investigations will be part of a team leading government, regulatory and significant internal investigations for GE Vernova. The role will be part of the new GE Vernova Global Law & Policy Headquarters team and work closely with functional and business colleagues. This role will report to the Executive Counsel, Global Investigations for GE Vernova.
Essential Responsibilities
- Developing sustainable investigative capabilities and processes for GE Vernova’s investigative needs, including through training and talent development
- Driving measurable efficiencies in investigative matter management, including with regard to budgets for external counsel and forensic/discovery-related needs
- Managing governmental / regulatory investigations and internal investigations globally that could raise legal or reputational risk for GE Vernova and/or its businesses
- Providing cross-functional support to the compliance function to (i) identify emerging issues and trends, (ii) help define process improvements and (iii) help with training initiatives
- Ability to plan and conduct complex investigations across different legal risk areas
- Working on matters that may be in front of global enforcement agencies
Qualifications / Requirements
- Investigative experience in a common law and/or civil law jurisdiction and exposure to working in diverse, complex markets
- FCPA / other anti-corruption law
- Trade controls/sanctioned country law
- Anti-trust law
- Anti-money laundering law
- Intellectual property theft / economic espionage / computer crimes
- Complex frauds
- FCPA / other anti-corruption law
- J.D. or equivalent law degree from a recognized international institution
- Trade controls/sanctioned country law

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex investigations carrying governmental enforcement risk
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory and compliance laws, including the US Foreign Corruption Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption laws in the United States and internationally

- Intellectual property theft / economic espionage / computer crimes
- Investigative experience in one or more of the following areas:

If contracted in the United States:
The salary range for this position is 164,600.00 - 274,300.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus.
