Work Schedule :
This is a 1.0 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with some on call hours. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Bring your experience advising hospitals and other health care providers on health law matters to UW Health.
We are seeking a Corporate Counsel to:
- Provide counsel to operational leaders, Human Resources and the provider accountability team (Provider Services) on labor and employment law matters, including hiring, onboarding, discipline, FMLA, FLSA, ADA accommodations, discrimination and harassment investigations, and severance agreements.
- Perform detailed legal research and draft personnel policies and procedures and various staffing contracts.
- Manage administrative employment litigation (EEOC, ERD) for client areas, including complaint investigation and response, settlement negotiations, hearing preparation and representation at administrative hearings.

Education :
Minimum – Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree.
Work Experience :
Minimum – At least five (5) years of experience advising on a broad range of employment-related legal matters.
Preferred –
- Experience advising hospitals and other health care providers
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum – Admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Wisconsin Bar
Preferred – Admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Illinois Bar
