Legal And Compliance Counsel

Location – Chicago, IL | Coralville, IA | or Remote-US

Digital Diagnostics is looking for a Legal and Compliance Counsel to join our growing team. In this role, you will apply legal and compliance expertise to strategic growth initiatives while protecting the company from major legal, compliance, and reputational risks. Additionally, you will provide intelligent risk-taking advice and counsel through clear-cut risk analysis to company executives and internal stakeholders on legal and compliance risks and issues arising in day-to-day operations, contractual matters, and business transactions.

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience negotiating and drafting a wide variety of complex commercial agreements, including hospital, FQHC, and commercial payor agreements
• Understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement practices for both commercial and government payors
• Experience interpreting and applying the Stark law, Anti-Kickback statute, HIPAA/HITECH Act, CCPA, and Medicare and Medicaid law and regulations (e.g., conditions of participation, licensing, and reimbursement)
• Ability to research and provide clear and effective solutions-based advice on complex legal questions
• Working knowledge of general federal and state health care regulatory schemes
• Knowledge of organizational controls for data protection including HITRUST and SOC 2
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• 5+ years of health law experience primarily focused on transactional and healthcare compliance matters
