Job Summary: The Sales Manager will harness Polytec's well-established client base to propel sales of automation solutions and services within steel mills and metal manufacturing. As an integral part of the US sales team, the chosen candidate will oversee key accounts, cultivate new business avenues, and meet regional sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate pricing strategies and customized proposals to align with customer needs.
- Attain quarterly and annual sales quotas for the designated region.
- Lead customer meetings, demonstrations, negotiations, and contracting processes.
- Provide reports on sales undertakings, projections, and pipelines.
- Manage an existing portfolio of steel mill and metal manufacturing accounts.
- Monitor market dynamics, competition, and evolving customer demands.
- Apply industry expertise and technical proficiency to identify and close novel sales prospects.
Requirements:
- Capability to comprehend customer pain points and effectively communicate solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
- Pre-existing network of contacts in steel production or metal manufacturing.
- Familiarity with continuous casting, rolling mills, and tube mills.
- Proficiency in automation technologies and electrical systems.
- Exceptional organizational acumen, attention to detail, and multi-project management.
- Strong skills in communication, presentation, and negotiation.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical sales of industrial equipment/services.
