At Precision Fuel & Hydration we personalize athletes’ hydration and fueling strategies using a suite of cutting-edge tools and a unique range of products.
We work with a long list of pro teams in the Premier League, NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball, Formula One and beyond, as well as many elite and amateur athletes in sports like triathlon, cycling, running and tennis.
We're not just a “sports nutrition business”, we're also a high-end sports consultancy and an innovative e-commerce startup, with a heavy focus on technology and research.
We're a global business, with sales in 75+ countries, but we’re still a small team of ~20 who love what we do and the space we’re in.
We need an E-Commerce Warehouse Manager to join us to help us keep up with, and enable, more growth! You’ll lead and develop a team of fulfilment colleagues to maximize productivity, ensure safety, and maintain operational efficiency within the warehouse.
You’ll manage, and get stuck in with, various warehouse operations including pick, pack and dispatch of B2C and B2B orders, FEFO stock control, goods receipt and processing, and preparation of goods for collection by couriers. You’ll also be responsible for Amazon FBA replenishments, continuous process improvement, resolving issues, building relationships with local courier partners, and managing stock levels of consumables.
You'll have real responsibility from day one, making a tangible difference every day. And you’ll get to learn from an experienced team of entrepreneurs with the strong experience of supply chain and logistics management you gain when starting and growing an eCommerce business.
The founder of the business, Andy Blow, is a recognised thought-leader in sports science, has set up a number of successful businesses and was an elite triathlete “back in the day”. Our COO, Jonny is an engineer by training and he won 2 Silver medals at the Canoeing World Championships before being instrumental in developing our innovative product range and spearheading our supply chain and fulfilment operations, enabling us to grow into a truly global business.
Our Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, Sam, has years of experience in fulfilment management from both the client and 3PL side and has been instrumental in enabling us to grow a sophisticated global ecommerce logistics set-up.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizing best practices, following standard operating procedures and reference aids and continuously looking for areas of improvement
- Overseeing the pick, pack and dispatch of B2C and B2B orders, using a barcode-driven warehouse management system
- ...controlling all warehouse operations and ensuring the warehouse team is working in a safe and efficient manner
- ...giving your team regular feedback on their performance, positive and constructive, and using this information to help motivate individuals. Motivation is key - each member of our team must feel valued
- ...ensuring that you have the correct staff hours allocated to the tasks at hand and you’ll rotate team members throughout the duration of their shift to ensure you’re maximizing productivity and enjoyment
- Managing Amazon FBA replenishments and preparing to specification
- Manage and develop a team of ambitious fulfilment colleagues. This’ll involve things like…
- Liaising with the management team back at the (UK) mothership regularly, reporting on all of your key responsibilities and championing improvement in your facility
- Maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- ...constantly communicating to ensure that handovers and team briefs are managed professionally and everyone has the information they need to do their job
- Researching and resolving issues using appropriate resources
- Championing relationships with local courier partners, striving to obtain the best possible service level whilst controlling costs as we scale
- Ensuring rigorous FEFO stock control, performing regular stock counts
- Preparing goods (and paperwork) for collection by courier partners and ensuring clean handover or drop-off daily
- Managing stock levels of consumables and re-ordering
- Receiving and processing goods-in deliveries, with a full audit trail
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
- You’ll be experienced in warehouse management, KPIs and navigating the US postal / freight networks
- The ability to drive productivity through the efficient use of time and a commitment to strong results
- Competent in digital applications, especially spreadsheets
- A commitment to teamwork through relationship building, reliability and collaboration
- Driven to develop and spread a positive and cohesive team through culture
- Strong attention to detail, taking pride in and “owning” what you do
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Material handling – repetitive bending, reaching, standing, walking and lifting up to 50lb. You should also be comfortable using a hand operated pallet truck, although training will be given
- 3 years or more experience in an e-commerce fulfilment operation is essential
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, and “can do” attitude
- You should be comfortable in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that arise in an ecommerce environment (hardware and software)
- Full driving license is desirable
- A proven track record of building relationships with suppliers to procure goods and services
COMPENSATION
- Remuneration would include an additional contribution to personal medical insurance package
- Competitive salary with regular appraisals
- Exciting travel opportunities and ‘money can’t buy’ sporting experiences
- All the electrolyte drinks, gels and team merch you’ll ever need!
- Core hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, although some weekend hours may be required during peak seasons, so flexibility is desirable
Location
Currently, we operate our main US fulfilment operation from Portland, OR. We are looking at adding a more central warehouse location as the business grows. At this point, there is a level of potential flexibility as to exactly where that location is and part of the initial job spec will be to work with the COO and the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to identify and establish a new facility. The Texas area in general has been identified as one potentially attractive area in which to focus the search.
Application process
Please send your CV and a few lines telling us about yourself and why you think you'd be an awesome addition to the team to our Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, Sam, at sc @ precisionfuelandhydration . com.
