Job Description

Blackbird General Store is hip, modern general store/gift shop and clothing boutique. We are looking for a sales associate with an amazing personality and great sense of style who will also help with our social media. Ideally - a very creative person who can help our customers curate amazing gift boxes, find the perfect outfit and do an Instagram post or edit a product photo. The sales associate will have multiple responsibilities including providing outstanding customer service, building repeat clientele, demonstrating superior product knowledge in all areas of apparel, home & gifts. The sales associate with assist with inventory, packing/unpacking, labeling & shipping for our e-commerce site. You must be willing to help in any way needed. Social media experience a plus and computer literacy required.


Ideally you will:

  • Be loyal, honest and a team player.
  • Have a proven track record of exceptional sales.
  • Be proficient in POS systems.
  • Instagram and Social Media Experience a Huge Plus
  • Have a current understanding of trends and styles in both gift and/or fashion.
  • Canva or Photoshop Experience preferred
  • Be highly creative and very welcoming.
  • Knowledge of Shopify helpful
  • Be computer literate.
  • Have 2+ years retail sales in clothing or gift boutique (Luxury boutique a plus!)
  • Must Have Car


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy boxes.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, reaching and maneuvering around shop.
  • Gift wrapping
