About The Role:

Nomad, a trailblazer in the tech industry, seeks a creative and driven part-time Social Media Creator to bolster our online presence and engagement. We are on the hunt for someone who thrives in the digital world, who can seize the reins of our social media accounts, and guide them towards exponential growth.

As an integral part of our team, you’ll work in close collaboration with our Design and Marketing departments. The ideal candidate has a knack for translating tech-speak into engaging, user-friendly content, and possesses a solid background in leveraging social media platforms to enhance brand recognition and growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Stay ahead of the curve by researching and incorporating current social media trends into our content strategy.
• Analyze performance metrics to shape and refine our content strategies, ensuring we’re not just part of the conversation, but leading it.
• Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with our followers on social media, responding to comments, and addressing inquiries.
• Craft compelling short-form video and reel content that resonate with our followers and make our brand stand out in the digital space.
• Develop and curate captivating content across our brand’s social media pages, tailored to our audience and their preferences
• Drive the growth of our social media presence on multiple platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter.

Qualifications:

• A keen understanding of current social media trends and algorithm changes.
• Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
• Although this is a hybrid role, you must be located in Santa Barbara, CA
• Experience in creating engaging content for various social media platforms.
• Interest in the tech industry.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

About Us:

We build forward-thing and best-in-class mobile accessories and retail them globally. Nomad is much more than a brand name. It’s our philosophy as a company and a team: owning fewer things, being resourceful, and working hard together. And it is the very core of our product vision: creating minimalist, practical tools that keep us powered on the go. We develop all of our product concepts from the ground up. Materials selection is core to fulfilling our product promise of true portability, so we select the lightest, thinnest, strongest materials to suit our designs.

Work Environment:

We're a small team of ~30 people (plus a couple of remote team members) working out of an office in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. Although we maintain a relatively casual work environment, we are focused, dedicated, and hardworking. We're looking for someone that can come in and be trained and learn quickly and vibe well overall with the rest of the team. Specific industry experience is not necessary (though it is of course welcome), rather you'll need energy for hands-on learning and some general industry knowledge or interest.

Expected Hours: 15-20 hours per week
