Are you a motivated sales professional with a success track record of consultative selling? Do you value providing world-class customer service and viable solutions to customers? Lubrizol is currently looking for a motivated and passionate Account Manager to join our Personal Home & Healthcare Division (PHHC). In this role, you will be responsible for representing the sale of solutions (products, concepts, and services) for bath & shower, hair care, skin care (non-actives) and home care markets. This is a remote role, ideally based in the Los Angeles area.
What you will do:
- Engage closely with Marketing to identify and evaluate new, high value opportunities.
- Develop and manage annual territory budget.
- Lead the sales and market development activities to promote growth of the business for assigned accounts and territories.
- Develop, negotiate, and close sales contracts and agreements.
- Create and implement account plans that are well aligned with the business strategy.
- Represent Lubrizol at trade shows, conferences, and at local industry association, demand planning, and regional marketing meetings.
- Foster and grow the appropriate business relationships both internally and externally.
- Effectively communicate with internal R&D, Marketing, and Operations group.
- Comply with administrative requirements (call reports, forecasting, expense reports, etc.).
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities to be able to enter new and growing applications, identify and support the launch of new products.
- Develop and implement aggressive sales plans at the territory and account level.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in sciences (ex, chemistry, biology, physics, etc).
- Willing and able to travel 30% of the time.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and a strong drive for results.
- Demonstrated successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities pertinent to the focus markets.
- Tactical and strategic thinking and business acumen skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
