Job Description
Job Responsibilities


As part of the Crisis Program and under general supervision, employee performs crisis services and screenings, in a culturally sensitive manner, to persons who have a serve mental illness and are in the Emergency Center pf Spartanburg Regional Hospital, assist with developing a treatment plan to assist in discharge from the hospital and linking them treatment service at SAMHC and/or the community. Coordinates and interfaces with employees at all Spartanburg Regional Health Care Emergency Departments which will aid in monitoring for outcome measures to meet program deliverables. Works well independently and to supervise others both clinically and administratively.


  • While working in collaboration with Spartanburg Regional Emergency Department staff, provides and coordinates crisis intervention, triage, and assessment for the clients in the Emergency Department of Spartanburg Regional Hospital by helping to link with community services.
  • Facilitates completion of assessments of persons diverted from SRMC to SAMHC.

This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303


Minimum And Additional Requirements


A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences and professional experience in human services or social services programs.
