As a Researcher – Refugee Resettlement, you will play a crucial role in providing research support to plan, acquire, process, analyze, preserve, curate, publish/share, document, manage quality, and secure/archive research data. Your responsibilities will extend to various content areas, including network-wide refugee resettlement and social and economic inclusion, as well as legal service work. Your primary focus will be on data management support for refugee housing services, encompassing all aspects of data handling. In addition to data management, you will be involved in monitoring and analyzing Refugee Benefit Programs and collaborating with the government team and the organization to enhance understanding of Refugee Policy and Benefits. Your efforts will contribute to achieving outcomes related to immigration resettlement and other related materials.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Researcher – Refugee Resettlement : $80,000-$90,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Researcher – Refugee Resettlement Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct research through reports, issue briefs, articles, and memoranda to reach various stakeholders and achieve desired outcomes.
• Assist in implementing records management.
• Provide data management support for refugee housing services, including planning, acquisition, processing, analysis, preservation, curation, publication/sharing, documentation, quality management, and data security/archiving.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align with organization-wide efforts.
• Consult with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand dataset characteristics.
• Provide backup support for metadata reviewers, ensuring compliance and meeting requirements.
• Assist in devising and executing rollout plans for immigration resettlement and related materials.
• Monitor and analyze a diverse set of Refugee Benefit Programs.
• Promote data management plan requirements, creation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with the government team and across the firm to enhance understanding of Refugee Policy and Benefits.
• Present research and policy ideas to colleagues.
• Maintain and curate data archives.

Researcher – Refugee Resettlement Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and one year of relevant experience in social work, case management, refugee resettlement, immigrant support, and/or non-profit operations required.

• Preferred knowledge of disciplines such as refugee housing, legal and medical services for effective data management guidance implementation.

• Experience with data management and data quality assurance.

• Troubleshooting, creative problem-solving, and resourcefulness are essential.

• Ability to quickly learn and work in a team environment.

• Effective communication of scientific and technical information related to data management.

• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills with minimal supervision.

• Attention to detail and excellent time management skills required.

• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
