Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Data Scientist to join our dynamic team in the financial services industry. As a part-time remote employee, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions. Your expertise in data analysis and machine learning techniques will contribute to the enhancement of our data services.

Skills

• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Python, R or MATLAB
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive reports presenting findings from analyses using visualizations for easy comprehension by stakeholders.
• Develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms for forecasting future outcomes.
• Design experiments and conduct A/B testing to evaluate the effectiveness of new strategies.
• Continuously monitor data quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability across all datasets.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on large datasets to discover trends and patterns that inform decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business objectives and develop analytical solutions accordingly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with financial datasets is desirable but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Analytical mindset with strong mathematical skills is essential for this role.
• Knowledge of SQL databases will be an added advantage.

Pay Rate

The pay rate for this part-time position ranges from $17-$45 per hour based on qualifications and experience level.
