Senior Data Analyst I ( Us Remote)

• Remote-first opportunity for US-based employees with the option to work in-person out of our Manhattan office
• Proven experience collaborating with Fraud, Risk, Compliance Product, and Customer Experience teams
• 5+ years of professional, full-time data experience, including experience with a coding language, SQL preferred, data modeling, and a BI tool, Tableau preferred

The data team is responsible for Zip's data analytics platforms across the entire business. They ideate and create data strategies and architectures to better identify opportunities in business operations with data-based recommendations.

Zipsters on our data analytics team build and maintain data analytics dashboards to monitor key performance areas and diagnose business problems to translate them into data and actionable steps.

How you'll help us change the game

• Bring a strong track record of analytics enablement to companies with a focus on fintech
• Connect vague business questions to data projects to create new analytics capabilities; this will require strong SQL knowledge, data modeling experience is a plus
• Be responsible for a wide range of data analytics solutions across key departments with a primary focus on Fraud & Risk, Customer Experience, and Finance
• Partner closely with business leaders to create and enable analytics around how Zip attracts, engages, and retains customers
• Build and maintain data analytics dashboards and other tools (Alation, Tableau, Amplitude) to answer critical business questions
• Communicate insights with senior stakeholders and team members.
• Proactively identify optimization areas and data-based recommendations for Zip’s business across all business functions
• Conduct pre and post-implementation reviews and present compelling results and actionable insights
• Collaborate with the broader Data & Risk Team to share ideas and discuss analytical approaches in the interests of promoting continual development
• Work with our complex and large volume of data to understand trends, behaviors, and opportunities for revenue growth

• The ability to solve big picture problems: Proactively identify reports, dashboards, and analysis needed by the business. Partner with Product & Engineering teams to strategize and drive user growth.
• The drive to seek answers in data: You are comfortable analyzing millions of transactional data points. You use data to drive decision-making and make recommendations on how to best grow the business. You work closely with leadership to identify, measure, and grow major KPIs across business lines.

The Pay Range for this position: $108,000- 155,000$ USD based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and Zip's compensation strategies. However, actual base salary will depend on varying circumstances and individualized factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Pay Range: $108,000-155,000 $ USD
