Govig – Your #1 full-service recruiting firm and your access to the best opportunities available, is seeking a MARKET PRESIDENT for a specialty contractor in the homebuilding industry.

About the Position. The Market President will oversee and manage all aspects of the division’s operations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Drive initiatives that promote the parent company’s model, while enhancing synergies and automation opportunities.
• May participate in due diligence and/or post-merger integration activities.
• Develops, implements, and executes strategic business plans for each division (and future businesses and divisions). This would include the achievement of assigned metrics such as financial forecasts and customer satisfaction.
• Assess organizational strengths and weaknesses ensuring that strong performers are utilized, and sub-par performers are coached to enhance effectiveness.
• The Market President will ensure that all businesses are fully compliant with business regulations on a state and federal level (legal, financial, HR, labor, etc.).
• Able to develop strong internal relationships and be recognized as the driver of successful business outcomes.
• Sets the standard for safety and corporate culture.
• Works collaboratively and transparently with sister companies.
• Existing business oversight, state expansion, planning and execution.
• Identify new business opportunities/geographies and present recommendations to the leadership team.
• Responsible for developing long-term strategic planning for the market. This would include business growth and diversification as well as anticipating the organization structure and/or resources necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborates and communicates at all levels of the organization to meet corporate and division goals.
• Must be “connected” to the residential builder markets. Possess key contacts that will provide industry specific insights and the ability to detect and respond quickly to industry changes.
• Build “bench-strength” necessary to achieve desired growth and complexity of businesses.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry.

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Excellent listening skills are a must.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience with M&A integration is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion.
• Able to easily communicate with customers, trade contractors, laborers, as well as Board Members and C-level executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, finance/accounting etc.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Leadership experience (10+ years) with a residential builder in an Operations, Purchasing, Construction Management is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated impactful leadership skills.
• Senior level experience in the residential construction industry.
