Job Description

RR Donnelley (RRD), a leading client communications provider, is looking for a Business Development Representative who will be responsible for sales growth by setting qualified appointments with new clients. This role will funnel the leads to a sales representative to further qualify and close the sale. This position is purely a lead generation role and will not be responsible for further steps in the sales cycle.

  • Meet with Sales Leaders to evaluate strategy
  • Identify multiple contact points within a supplied list of targets and position the value proposition of our products and services to entice the prospect to learn more about RRD through a discovery meeting.
  • Generate interest in a discovery meeting with an established RRD Sales Executive.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop a list of target prospects
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Effectively & smoothly transition a lead to an account executive following the first discovery meeting
  • Conduct online research to better understand the prospect and contact points’ business objectives to better position RRD services.
  • Develop and run a pipeline of prospects and provide top-class customer experience
  • Generate a high-value sales pipeline through both strategic and targeted prospecting for target accounts in financial services, insurance, utilities, mortgage and retirement services.
  • Actively utilize Salesforce for all activities related to Lead Generation
  • Leverage proven prospecting techniques to initiate contact with prospective new clients in financial services, insurance, utilities, mortgage and retirement services.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, business development and telemarketing in highly regulated with emphasis on cold calling
  • Experience with cold calling techniques and the use of Salesforce CRM technology to organize, track, and document activity
  • Bachelor degree in business, communications or related field preferred

The national pay range for this role is $43,900 to $77,200 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
