Job Title: Recruiting Manager Job Class: Administration
Reports To: Department Director Grade: 45
Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiting Manager will research, develop and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies
to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Acts with minimal supervision
and oversight by the Department Director.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Exercises independent judgment within agreed upon limits to perform recruitment details
Provides support and offers recommendations to Department Director
Develops, facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process
Collaborates with managers in the recruiting process
Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings
Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job
skills and to provide information about the organization and position
Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in the organization
Posts open positions internally and externally
Participates in job fairs
Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates
Performs check-ins with new employees
Works with Recruiting Specialist in all areas that relate to recruiting
Works with Department Director to prepare recruitment budget
Once applicant is hired, launces onboarding packed in Paylocity and works with applicant to
ensure all tasks and documents are completed prior to first day
Completes IT cards, new hires forms and other related tasks
Participates in meetings and in services
Participates in supervision sessions
Performs other job duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES
Supervises and directs recruiting staff, including assigning and reviewing work and evaluating, writing and
signing work performance evaluations.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent work experience required
EXPERIENCE
Experience in recruitment and hiring processes preferred, two (2) years of experience in an office setting
required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of recruitment and hiring practices
Excellent computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers,
consumer, customer, and the general public
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates effective time management and the ability to multi-task
Ability to handle responsibilities independently with a certain degree of resourcefulness and
creativity and minimum supervision
Ability to work as a team member
Ability to work flexible hours, which may be required
Ability to travel within the Center’s service area
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous skill development to competently serve individuals from
diverse cultures and backgrounds.
