DESCRIPTION

The Production and Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting the Production and Planning teams. This includes inventory order management, production coordination, factory communication, accurate data entry, cross-functional communication (internal and external), and in-office sample management responsibilities. This is a Los Angeles-based, in-person role and reports to our Merchandising and Production Manager with dotted line responsibilities to our Senior Planning Manager.

ROLES + RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Coordination

• Support with factory communication related to Purchase Orders, sample management, and more
• Assist Production Manager with production-related tasks including weekly development reports for our factory partners, barcode and care label approvals, supply management, and more
• Partner with Operations to ensure an efficient intake process including resolving intake issues such as shipment discrepancies and Return-To-Vendors (RTVs)
• Create and monitor Purchase Orders (POs)
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of our work-in-progress (WIP) style database

Sample Management

Responsible for in-office sample management, including but not limited to:

• Collaborating to find solutions to sample challenges
• Partnering with Merchandising and Production teams to obtain ETAs (Estimated Time of Arrivals) and report information cross-functionally
• Leading organization and coordinating with Creative team on sample requests for photoshoots
• Processing, organizing, tracking, and QA (quality assurance) for all samples
• Managing sample logistics and work with partners to effectively communicate sample prioritization

Wholesale Operations

• Own management of EDI processes for wholesale partners (including sending ASNs and invoices)
• Coordinate and monitor wholesale purchase orders (POs) and maintain style database
• Oversee fulfillment processes for wholesale shipments via our 3PL partner

BACKGROUND + EXPERIENCE

• Ability to multitask in a start-up environment
• Excited about joining a small, fast growing company with a results-oriented culture
• Role is in-person; must be located in Los Angeles with the ability to travel to the office
• Team player and self-starter
• Comfortable with data management in Google Suite (specifically Google Sheets) and Excel
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and / or 2 - 3 years work experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
