Job Description
Company Description

Xplor Technologies is a global platform integrating SaaS solutions, embedded payments, and Commerce Accelerating Technologies to help businesses succeed. Xplor provides enterprise-grade SaaS solutions for businesses in “everyday life” verticals: Childcare & Education; Fitness & Wellbeing, Field Services and Personal Services – and a global cloud-based payment processing platform.

Take a seat on the rocket ship and join us as a Product Manager to help people succeed across the world! We’re a global team of builders, listeners and problem-solvers who are relentlessly focused on making life simple, so our customers can get back to growing their business, engaging consumers and doing what they love.

You’ll join our Xplor Pay vertical and the US Payments Team that develops a complete range of payments solutions including point-of-sale, ecommerce, mobile, in-app, recurring billing, e-invoicing, and auto-reconciliation. Our cloud-based solutions allow for seamless, secure processing that help our customers increase revenue, so they become more profitable.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Product Manager to join a growing Product organization! In this role, you will work closely with architects, developers, and a broad set of internal teams to set and drive our product roadmap, features, enhancements, and our user experience vision across multiple core platforms used to power payments, and process transactions, funding, and settlement. You will help guide the company’s Core Payments product strategy and short- and long-term strategic plans, which center around making life simple for businesses by providing a robust suite of frictionless payment acceptance solutions to meet their customers where they’re at, then building trust through reliable and accurate settlement, funding, and billing. To thrive in this role, you will need to take ownership of discovery processes gathering business, customer, and system requirements, developing a deep understanding of pain points, and designing solutions to meet those needs that can then be translated to our development teams for execution and delivery. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the payments ecosystem and transaction lifecycle, along with product development experience in an agile scrum environment. Our Product Managers work with technical teams as a critical conduit in conveying business objectives, vision, and expected outcomes sprint-by-sprint.

Essential Responsibilities To Succeed In This Role

Product Strategy:

  • Become a recognized subject matter expert on the functions and uses of our platforms that span payment acceptance, transaction processing, settlement and funding, and reporting, as well as understanding association rules to ensure platform compliance.
  • Continuously identify, quantify, and prioritize opportunities to eliminate manual operational tasks to improve workflow and efficiency, particularly on issues that pose financial risk to the organization.
  • Set, drive, and socialize the product roadmap and backlogs, prioritizing work to deliver the right business value at the right time.
  • Facilitate delivery of the product strategy and roadmap for your platforms in collaboration with the US Payments strategic product teams, technology, and internal stakeholders to meet Xplor’s enterprise payments objectives in the region.

Product Delivery:

  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as daily standups, refinement, and sprint planning.
  • Be a change management advocate, properly planning for releases, creating internal product release notes/documentation, and educating key business stakeholders on new functionality.
  • Create supporting materials such as workflow diagrams and UI wireframes to effectively communicate business objectives, concepts, requirements, and acceptance criteria to a technical development team ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of solutions.
  • Gather and search large technical/business documents and data sets to find important information that translates to requirements or supports research and troubleshooting activities.
  • Perform business requirement User Acceptance Testing as a quality gate, confirming feature and functionality meet expectations for designated area of focus.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with business stakeholders and other end users to clearly understand problem spaces, identifying and documenting pertinent product business requirements, in addition to leveraging data analytics and market trends to develop thorough and concise requirements.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Bridge technical and business worlds as you forge strong and productive relationships with stakeholders across Engineering, Risk, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to keep backlogs organized and prioritized, monitoring deliverables to ensure delivery on the overarching strategy, roadmap, and milestones.

Qualifications

  • Solid critical-thinking and creative problem-solving skills with exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success leading product and/or development strategies, defining, documenting, developing, or launching successful platform capabilities and products
  • 5+ years' experience with product management, product development or related roles
  • Ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, demonstrating passion for our vision and the business problems being solved for
  • Analytical mindset to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make and explain decisions while managing multiple initiatives at different stages, prioritizing effectively, and managing time wisely to achieve objectives
  • Ability to motivate teams, set and manage expectations, ensure accuracy without sacrificing speed or timeliness, giving and receiving constructive feedback resulting in positive change
  • 3+ years of experience with financial services, merchant acquiring or related fintech industries
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies
  • May be eligible for a discretionary bonus
  • Accountable, dependable, responsive, and self-motivated
  • The average base salary pay range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000
  • Affinity toward building and cultivating deep relationships, interfacing directly and effectively with internal/external partners, negotiating with and influencing cross-functional teams
