Job Description

Hybrid Product Manager


Amotec, Inc. has been engaged on a search for a Product Manager that would like a hybrid schedule for a large Manufacturer/Distributor located in Des Plaines, IL. Our client is growing rapidly, causing a new position to be created. Report directly to the VP of Product Development and works in tandem with the Sales team, but has no account management responsibilities.


Candidates with the following skills, knowledge and abilities will be successful in this role:

  • Have the ability to travel 20% or more to local manufacturing facilities, installations and prospective Sales opportunities
  • Orchestrate New Product launches – Experience with building key relationships and working with Supply Chain
  • Gather and present insights on price, inventory and other competitive factors
  • Knowledge in plastic injection molding products and experience with resins

Requirements to apply:

  • Experience with product development and product launches
  • Extruded and injection molded plastic products and manufacturing knowledge
  • Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales Engineering or Project Management, focused on plastics
  • Ability to work three (3) days in the office and work two (2) days remotely
