We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Owner to join our dynamic digital commerce team. As a Product Owner for our commerce website, you will play a critical role in shaping the overall vision, strategy, and roadmap for our e-commerce platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, marketers, and stakeholders, to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Performance Tracking and Analysis: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the success of product features and initiatives. Leverage data analytics and user insights to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, communicate product updates, and manage expectations. Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
- Feature Requirements and Prioritization: Collaborate with stakeholders and gather requirements to define product features and functionality. Understand and document user stories to be understood by the development team. Evaluate and prioritize product backlog items based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies related to e-commerce. Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities.
- User Experience Optimization: Continuously analyze user behavior, gather feedback, and conduct user research to identify opportunities for enhancing the user experience. Collaborate with designers and developers to translate user insights into actionable improvements.
- Agile Development Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact between Product Manager and the development team. Drive the agile development process by writing user stories, conducting sprint planning, and overseeing the product development lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and customer support, to ensure successful product delivery. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of e-commerce best practices, user experience design, and conversion optimization
- Familiarity with web analytics tools, A/B testing, and user tracking technologies
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to understand functional requirements and document them in user stories
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and influence stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an e-commerce or digital product environment
