Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION: As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing product category strategies and tactics, including market and business analysis, product and supplier development, pricing, stocking, sales, costs, marketing initiatives, service improvements, product merchandising, and customer support. Through your exemplary organizational and leadership skills, you will help execute, evaluate, and adjust the tactics of the strategy quickly, and coordinate with multiple departments. You will support the business through: Category ownership of the product line plan including new product/supplier selection, definition, pricing, procurement, launch, and sustaining maintenance of the product line. Ownership of the Profit & Loss of the Rotary Motion and Structural product offerings within the business unit. Subject matter expertise for performance, functionality, pricing, packaging, merchandising, and value propositions to internal and external customers. Leadership and management of cross-functional team members within category responsibility. Analysis and reporting on key financial metrics, develop product, pricing, and promotion strategy for the category. Collaboration with suppliers to ensure optimal performance standards of products. Primary end user research (qualitative & quantitative) in conjunction with sales, engineering, or product management team members. Collaboration with procurement, customer service, sales, marketing, and management to ensure all assigned projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical, Automation, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role generating strong growth and customer satisfaction. Experience in product lifecycle management. Experience leading and managing employees, both direct and indirect Proficiency in 3D CAD or equivalent, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience working in an international environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment design preferred. Previous experience working in the fluid power industry also preferred. Ability to travel approximately 30% Just as important as your functional qualifications are your personal qualities.
