Job Description

Group Benefits Product Delivery supports the drafting, filing and implementation of group insurance contracts. This position is responsible for quality review of our contract consultation, drafting, filings and/or implementation activities associated with our group insurance contracts. This position reports to the Director of Quality Management & Training.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, enhance and implement improvements to quality program to align with process enhancements, new products or new processes
  • Communicate quality review findings to specialists and managers
  • Recommend process improvement, and the streamlining of existing workflows with a focus on end-to-end processes across business functions
  • Provide coaching to specialists and managers through consistent, clear and continuous feedback through reviews
  • Support various projects as a subject matter expert as directed by manager
  • Identify and report regulatory trends observed as a result of filing quality reviews
  • Identify key opportunities and work with management to make recommendations to update best practices, resolve procedural overlap and inconsistencies, and/or provide training in response to key learnings
  • Identify and report on quality trends and conduct root cause analysis
  • Conduct quality reviews of group product form filings in accordance with the Forms and Filing Quality Management Program
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of Group Benefits drafting & filing experience is strongly preferred
  • Quality Management experience is a plus
  • Experience in identifying and driving process change
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of Group Benefits insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to shift priorities as business needs change
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work as a team
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Solid knowledge of group products, such as Life, Disability and AD&D
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Possess the ability to drive operational excellence
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$59,200 - $96,600
