Job Description

The Position:

As the COO, you will be responsible for improving operations and driving growth with our client. You will be a member of the Company’s executive team and will share responsibilities for the leadership, management, and strategic direction of the Company. You will interact with the Board and the management team while working to strengthen the Company’s brand position as they continue to evolve and grow.

They have a few locations on the West Coast and ideally you live in San Francisco area or Seattle area. Candidates in other locations will be considered but SF or Seattle or preferred; there will be travel regardless of where you live.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
  • Provide day to day leadership throughout the company
  • Participate in creating annual company budgets and work with the Executive Team to adhere to those budgets throughout the year
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning and introduction of new programs, new markets, and strategies
  • Work with Executive Team to further the Company’s strategic vision for significant and sustainable growth
  • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure performance to annual business plan targets
  • Drive acceleration of the Company’s key growth initiatives
  • Present business updates to Board on a quarterly basis
  • Drive revenue through strategic business development and represent the company to current clients and potential future clients
  • Work collaboratively across the organization and provide guidance, development, and training while fostering an environment of continuous improvement
  • Partner with the heads of location and each business unit to ensure that the quality is consistent and solidly based on process controls and continuous improvement, and that production is executed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal standards, and efficiency improvements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Primary and critical skills:

  • Strong business acumen and results oriented approach
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Proven experience as a VP of Operations, COO, GM, President, or something similar
  • Strong track record of improving operations
  • Experience working for a printing company with continuous inkjet presses is mandatory


Secondary skills:

  • Experience preparing and presenting formal business updates to a Board of Directors
  • Experience working for a private equity portfolio company
