Offshore Resource & Training Coordinator

Benthic is looking to add an experienced Offshore Resource & Training Coordinator to the team. The Offshore Resource & Training Coordinator is responsible for staffing, training, and development of Benthic's Offshore employees. This position will also be responsible for maintaining and assigning staff for Benthic's projects based on skillset and project requirements.

The successful candidate will be based in the Houston area.

Duties

Adhere to safety procedures and policies in accordance with the Safety Management System, including:

• Actively promote a positive, proactive safety culture throughout the company
• Report all hazards and unsafe acts
• Ensure third party compliance whilst on the premises
• Active participation in workshop safety & toolbox meetings

Adhere to quality procedures and policies in accordance with the ISO9001 Quality Management System, including:

• Compliance with all document control procedures
• Identify areas requiring improvement and/or audit
• Raise corrective actions for all non-conformances
• Comply with all company-based work instruction
• Ensuring relevant documentation is approved by correct persons
• Resource Staffing
• Liaise with local HR point of contact to ensure all contracts dates are adequately recorded in order to ensure tracking of working days is managed within a timely basis, raising when employees have reached their working commitments
• Work alongside Project Managers, HR and the Personnel Coordinator to give as much notice as possible as to any employees that are assigned to projects potentially requiring Visas
• Oversight for all appropriate staffing of global Benthic offshore personnel based on skillset and project requirements
• Maintain offshore staff database, and ensure that the data is kept up to date based on project expectations

Competency Scheme

• Ensure that Benthic Competency Scheme is line with latest IMCA guidelines and wider industry expectations
• Oversight of the Benthic Competency Scheme for offshore personnel, liaising with each regional office ensuring all offshore personnel have valid competency certification in place or are enrolled in scheme and working through required competencies
• Ensure training is in place for Competency Scheme Assessors and suitable amount of offshore personnel are qualified for this role

Training

• Creation of training plans / matrices relevant to offshore job competencies
• Maintain training records / plans for offshore personnel
• Liaise with the relevant points of contact to assist in the development and delivery of internal training in line with Company objectives and Benthic client requirements
• Liaise with QHSE Director to ensure training plans / matrices are compliant
• Ensure all Benthic Offshore personnel have completed the required training and certifications required for their roles
• Identification of external training and acts as point of contact for potential external training providers

Required

• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
• Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
• Must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the Company routinely operates
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
• Ability to work both independently and within teams
