Northeast Territory Sales Manager

Job purpose

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing sales with existing customers, pursuing and establishing relationships with new customers and achieving designated sales quotas.

Duties and responsibilities

• Sell all offered products to new and existing customers, meeting individual sales goals while exceeding customer satisfaction expectations
• Make outbound sales and follow-up calls to existing and potential customers
• Follow up on leads to acquire potential new customers and gain business
• Develop and foster business relationships with Store Managers and key decision makers
• Enhance sale numbers by cross-selling, up-selling and promoting monthly promotions for designated customers
• Develop and recommend strategies designed to improve the overall effectiveness of the territory and/or business activities
• Continually cultivate and maintain positive, professional, and productive client relationships to assist in achieving business objectives
• Become knowledgeable of Horsemen’s Pride and Jolly Pets product lines, industry terminology and company operations

Other requirements

• Proven track record of contributing toward team goals
• Must be able to multi-task with high attention to detail
• Excellent professional communication skills and appropriate grammar as related to utilizing communication tools, including but not limited to business correspondence, email, and telephone calls
• Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking abilities
• Ability to travel a minimum of 30%
• Strong Time Management skills
• Must be comfortable giving presentations in front of internal staff and external customers
• CRM software experience
• Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment
• Must show a “take charge” mentality within the position
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
