Network Engineer F1 Student Role

As a Junior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of our clients' network infrastructure. You will work closely with our senior engineers and IT teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of network systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career in the field of networking.

Key Responsibilities:

•Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and provide timely support to maintain network uptime.

•Network Configuration: Assist in configuring, maintaining, and upgrading network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

•Security Implementation: Assist in implementing network security measures, including firewall rules, intrusion detection, and access controls.

•Documentation: Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories to ensure efficient troubleshooting and network management.

•Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business requirements, including working closely with system administrators and IT support personnel.

•Network Optimization: Assist in optimizing network performance by analyzing traffic patterns and recommending improvements.

•New Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with emerging network technologies and assist in evaluating their potential benefits for the organization.

•Compliance: Ensure network configurations comply with industry best practices and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

•Knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).

•Familiarity with network devices and technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).

•Basic understanding of network security principles and practices.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

•Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

•Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus but not required.
