Job Description
JOB TITLE: National Wholesale Trainer and Account Manager
REPORTS TO: Head of Training and Development
DEPARTMENT: Training
LOCATION: Santa Cruz or Los Angeles

With this simple truth and responsibility we are bridging the gap from farmlevel to streetlevel. We seek an enthusiastic National Wholesale Trainer & Account Manager to join our Training team. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide action plans as after an account audits
  • Work community events as needed.
  • Utilize systems and tools developed by the Head of Training and Development
  • Deliver and deploy training materials used via account training sessions,webinars, on-site tastings, demonstrations, 3rd party apps/platforms, and site/equipment inspections. This includes, milk, bar, hospitality, coffee education, extraction and operations training.
  • Ensure that VCR is represented as superior quality coffee and customer service in all segments.
  • Monitor account performance, and consult on necessary improvements when VCR standards are not being met.
  • Deliver and deploy hard assets, visuals, for wholesale accounts
  • Promote & provide excellent customer service to accounts; prospective and existing.
  • Conduct audits; evaluate site cleanliness, product quality and hospitality. Make corrections and develop follow up plans.
  • Identify tech service needs.
  • Conduct coffee demos and tasting sessions as needed.
  • Conduct quality control visits to accounts as assigned by COO, CEO, Head of Sales or Head of Training.
  • Deliver and deploy classroom-style public lectures & training sessions as needed.
  • Consult with accounts on menu, seasonal beverages, operations, coffee selection and equipment
  • Collaborate with fellow Trainers on materials for new and currently existing accounts. Continue modifying and improving existing training.
  • Visit national wholesale accounts to ensure product quality.
  • Develop a library of training materials to be deployed virtually for national accounts.
  • Verify equipment installations meet the requirements for Verve preparation standards.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of seed-to-cup, coffee preparation, & industry standards
  • Minimum 3 year experience in specialty cafe environment
  • Flexible with the ability to multitask in a highly demanding and sometimes stressful environment
  • Must be approachable, mindful and positive.
  • Equipment Calibration experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Dynamic, positive and outgoing personality
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Valid CA state drivers license
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Willingness to travel across across California and out of state 50% time
  • Able to give and receive constructive feedback & positive reinforcement in any given situation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
