Marketing Communications Officer Jobs

About The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, Brand, the Marketing and Communications Officer will support the implementation of marketing and communications strategies and tactics across a variety of internal and external initiatives.

Role responsibilities:

• Support the strategy, content development, and campaign execution of development-specific initiatives
• Ensure and conduct regular review, updates and refresh of brand level marketing assets
• May assist with coordination of staff headshots and photographer sourcing
• Provide strategic marketing support for federal programming and special projects, including crafting marketing/creative briefs, collateral development, promotional campaign design and execution
• Streamline and synthesize complex content and copy for use in external facing marketing materials
• Assist with quality assurance and proofreading for copy, content, and design, ensuring brand guidelines are met in all marketing materials
• Source swag options to support brand visibility
• Provide writing and graphic design support as needed
• Provide general project management support for creative asset development
• Coordinate sponsorship and exhibiting logistics
• Assist with the creation of marketing & comms assets including slide decks, reports, talking points, and related materials
• Keep up to date on the latest marketing trends and assist with market research
• Develop a deep understanding of our mission, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship ecosystem, and key audiences
• Coordinate and execute internal marketing campaigns with guidance from Senior Marcomm Officer, Brand

What You Bring:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Foundational basics of graphics and design using PPT; Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and InDesign) also preferred
• Superior project management skills and ability to deliver results
• Proficiency using cloud-based office tools such as GSuite, team collaboration tools, and other web-based applications; ability to incorporate these tools into day-to-day work
• Comfortable working in a remote environment
• Track record of meeting deadlines, along with the ability to learn and master new skills
• Willingness to support and include others in order to find the best solutions and execute innovative and impactful campaigns
• Strong copywriting, verbal communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Minimum of 4 years of marketing communications experience; nonprofit, higher education, or agency work with these sectors is ideal
