Employment Type: Internship


Location: Gainesville, FL


Reporting To: Marketing Communications Director


Description


The Marketing Communications Intern provides support for Exactech's sales, marketing and corporate branding projects. Throughout the internship, the employee will expand their knowledge of writing for the medical device industry and field of marketing communications.


Key Responsibilities


  • Proofread materials for layout and copy
  • Perform market and competitive research
  • Create and curate engaging copy for websites, social media and digital advertising
  • Assist with email communication for internal and external audiences
  • Write and edit video storyboards and transcripts
  • Update media lists and databases
  • Write and edit collateral, such as product sheets, brochures, white papers and operative techniques
  • Write and distribute press releases, news articles and media alerts


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Knowledge of AP Style
  • Effectively work in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work 20-30 hours per week during semester
  • Strong writing skills for both print and online platforms
  • Motivated to take initiative and work effectively in teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Work collaboratively on a diverse team
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web; Google Analytics experience a plus
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new work and handle multiple priorities
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution required
