As an aligned executive, you will build assets, firm profitability and brand value by enhancing strategic investor relationships through a consultative fundraising model. You will provide investors with differentiated private credit, secondaries and private equity investments within the lower middle-market across multiple fund structures and separate accounts. You will cover a broad range of primarily regional investors including RIAs, family offices, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, consultants and pension plans. You must have comprehensive, long-term, trusted relationships with a strong set of investors within your region and be viewed to have valued perspectives with a consultative approach to educating and discussing investments and portfolio construction. Your relationships must include some combination of RIAs, financial planners, broker/dealers and/or family offices.
:
- Maintaining activities and databases to create and maintain information on current and proposed investor relationships within CRM.
- Performing other duties and responsibilities to help build the business and brand.
- Assisting with developing and implementing business plans to execute fundraising goals.
- Working in a collaborative manner with the entire fundraising team to follow up on leads generated by team within territory.
- Travelling 2-3 days/week or as mutually agreed upon.
- Building and maintaining relationships with investors to generate capital within a specific territory.
- Assisting with educating financial advisors on the benefits of Star Mountain Products and services for their clients thought individual or group meeting presentations, including visits, seminars, conferences/trade shows.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of growing relationships and raising capital within your region.
- 8+ years of client services/fundraising experience.
- Extensive trusted relationships with large number of investors.
- Experience working at a highly regarded asset management firm with multiple investment strategies and products preferred.
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, principles and practices of private credit/equity.
- Series 7 and 66 (or 7, 63 and 65) licenses required.
