Position Summary
Reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition, JHHS. Provides leadership to and manages the Pre-Boarding Specialists. Manages the day to day operations of the Pre-Boarding team. Serves as a JHHS resource and consultant in regards to Pre-Boarding processes, policies, technology and quality improvement. Responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive Pre-Boarding experience for all new employees and leaders within JHHS. Onboard new employees across JHHS to ensure a smooth transition to their new roles. Suggest and implement changes and improvements to the hiring and Pre-Boarding process. Conduct quality audits of work of direct reports. Review criminal background hits and make hiring recommendation. Partner with HRIS team on implementation/testing of new TA/Pre-Boarding software. Manage employee referral program. Work on special projects.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information and situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business management, communications, or a related field.
- Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to interact diplomatically with diverse groups of people, exchange information, and produce written correspondence.
- Effective management of projects, deadlines, and work load prioritizing.
- Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail in order to problem solve and/or triage issues. Creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities in support of department and organizational goals and objectives.
- Must have the ability to evaluate, train, coach, and mentor direct reports.
- Minimum of five years progressive related experience in a HR or in a management position.
- Knowledge of hospital employment policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of office and administrative procedures and ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written and communication skills necessary to work with all levels within JHHS and external customers.
