Position Overview
This is a senior level position and requires someone with a firm grasp on the big picture of corporate recruitment as well as knowledge of the entire recruitment process -- from candidate sourcing to OFCCP compliance requirements. The Specialist, Talent Acquisition must possess a demonstrated ability to prioritize a high volume of requests, access resources across the company. The Specialist, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment of DAI/Bethesda corporate staff, interns, and temporary staff as well as the support functions necessary to manage these efforts. The incumbent will also prepare for and attend career fairs and other external outreach events to support talent acquisition and DAI's Affirmative Action Plan.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities Corporate Recruitment
Qualifications & Skills Minimum Requirements:
For employees working the United States, the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $80,801 to $95,060. Salary for part-time employees will be prorated based on actual hours worked. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Eligible U.S. based employees, will be able to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match. Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation & holidays), sick leave, parental leave; as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.

- Sends regretnotification letters toallapplicantsnothiredforpostedrequisitions,andfullydispositionsallsearches.
- Handlesfull-cyclerecruitmentforassignedentry-leveltoexecutivesearches.
- Workcloselywith the Associate Director, Talent Acquisitiontoprioritizecorporaterecruitmentneeds.
- Followstandardizedprocessestoscreenand select thebestqualifiedcandidates,ensuringcompl ian cewith allfederal,stateand local regulationsaremet.
- Checksreferences,verifies educational credentials ,andcoordinatesbackground investigationofselected candidate;negotiatesandmakesverb a landwrittenoffersofemployment.
- Facilitatedecision-makingbyhiringmanagersinordertomeethiringdeadlines.
- Trackscandidateactivityfrominitial re su me sub mittal to hir einthe applicant tracking system(TALEO).
- Continually networ ksandbuildsindustrycontactsinkeyfunctionalareastoassistinthefuturerecruitmentactivities.
- Runs reportstomonitorrecruitmentactivity,tracksvacant positions , recruitingsourcesandcosts.
- Provideon-the-jobtraining,guidanceandmentoring t o staffonrecruitmentprocessesandprocedures,complianceandsystems.
- CollaborateswithCompensation and Benefitspriortomakingoffers when necessary.Negotiatecandidate salarie s, benefitsandallowancesinaccordancewith budget constraints.
- Conductsfollowupwithpotentialcandidates.

- AttendscareerfairsandothereventsrepresentingDAIinprofessionalmanner
- Provides input to Head of Talent Acquisition to help determine strategic approach to targeted outreach in support of DAI’s commitment to building a diverse work force
- Assists in conductingquarterlyauditstoapplicantdatawithin theapplicanttrackingsystem (TALEO)tocomplete dispositioningofapplicantflowdataforallfilledpositions.

Qualifications & Skills Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience working with applicant tracking systems, preferably TALEO.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and handle many tasks simultaneously, often with inflexible deadlines.
- Ability to take responsibility for assignments and report on progress with minimal oversight.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience in sourcing, screening, negotiating, and closing candidates while providing an outstanding candidate experience.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of OFCCP compliance requirement for federal contractors.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels.
- Appreciation for and professional handling of confidential and sensitive information.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Grade P5: Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience and a college degree. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with only general direction.
- Highly adept at providing consultative guidance to hiring managers.
- Prior HR experience is a plus.
- Professional working proficiency in a second language (Spanish, French, Russian, or Arabic preferred).
- Prior experience in international development.
